You Can Have Fun at Your Child's Birthday Party - If You Read This Before Booking the Entertainment

An easy and affordable way to have fun during your child's party is to hire a professional party entertainer.
Unfortunately, most people forget - or don't know - what to do before booking the entertainment. As a result, they end up hiring the wrong person and spend the entire party chasing kids around the house.
Now you can have fun at your child's party. Take just 3 minutes to read this entire article, and you'll be one of the lucky few that can have their cake and eat it too!
Plan ahead and book early. How disappointing would it be to find out the best children's entertainer is already booked? Avoid having to see your children pout by booking the children's magician, clown, or balloon-artist at least a month ahead of time. Plan to book even earlier if your child's party takes place around a major holiday or during busy months such as October, December or May.
Budget. In 2012, the average rate for a professional children's magician in NYC ranges from $250 to $500. That's really reasonable considering that it's less than half the cost of bringing the entire family to a Broadway show. Plus, you and all of your guests will get your own private performance! Sure, if you search hard enough you might come across a cheaper act. But, when it comes to children's entertainers, you really get what you pay for. Nobody wants to watch a performer flub up his act. And kids won't sit still and clap politely if the act is boring. A professional children's entertainer will have the chops to engage and entertain both the children and adults, so it's definitely worth the investment.
Read reviews. Before you book, check out what the other parents are saying. Read all of the reviews on the performer's website. You can look for parent reviews on social media sites such as Facebook, Yelp, Google+, or Twitter. Other places you can look for reviews include thumbtack.com and wwwkingdona.com
Review their credentials. After visiting the performer's website, type his or her name into Google and see what pops up. Look for evidence that shows how wonderful they are with kids. How many years has this person been performing? Does this entertainer have experience working with children? Any advanced degrees, awards or professional affiliations? What makes this performer unique?
Watch their video. Is the entertainer dressed professionally? Does the act look family friendly? Look for a demo video on their website. Another place you can look is on YouTube. If you can't find their video, then you might have just missed it. Some internet browsers with strict privacy settings may block videos from appearing. In that case, adjust your privacy settings or simply ask the performer for a link to the video. Upon request, many performers are willing to send out a promotional package via snail mail free of charge.
After you've done your homework and booked the party entertainment, you can sit-back, relax, and enjoy your child's special day with those who matter most... your friends and family. Have fun!
